Ever upward the heroes climb through the great Throne of Orcus discovering the Artisans’ Quarters, providing clues to the true fate of the citadel’s inhabitants, the malefic Serpent’s Coil, the Creeper of the Halls, and the heritor’s of the Hidden Citadel’s guardianship from long ago.

The belly of the beast, the heart of the evil, the pits of despair, these and many other names are given for the dangers that the PCs face as they explore the Inner Temple, the Upper Cloisters, and the dread Mausoleum high in the upper fanes of the Hidden Citadel – heights where the few who enter find that they have come too far to turn back.

At the heights of evil, the player characters learn of the true depravity that was the leadership of Tsar as they venture through the perils of the College of Glazerel , the Laboratories, the Guest Chambers, and the wretched Sanctus Defilus. Here they discover what truly happened in those last horrific days of the Battle of Tsar and gain an inkling of the true secret purpose of the entire city.
Slumbering Tsar: The Hidden Citadel, Part 6 – Caverns of the Barrier
Finally the veil of secrecy is lifted and the player characters fully understand the threat that the Hidden Citadel represents and what has truly been slumbering in ruined Tsar. In a race against time, the PCs pit themselves against a 10,000-year-old legacy and the vow of mighty Orcus to make the world his own in this, the climactic conclusion of The Slumbering Tsar Saga. PCs should be 20th level and above by the time they have completed this adventure.
